Subtractive Process The Revelation of Erasure

In art history we learned about Robert Rauschenberg’s Erased de Koning Drawing. It’s interesting to also read about it in this article. In art history we talked about how De Koning gave Rauschenberg the most difficult drawing he could find so that Rauschenberg would really have to work at erasing it.

I found it really interesting that when the News Feed first came about, people thought it was “Big Brother”-ish yet we can’t even imagine a facebook without a News Feed. Personally it sounds terrible to have to think of someone, search for their name, and then view their page in order to see if they’ve posted anything. Facebook is already time consuming but that seems like a total waste of time.
